Senior Staff Accountant

Carrie is a Senior Staff Accountant at Kern & Thompson, LLC. Carrie joined Kern & Thompson, LLC in 2022, and provides auditing, accounting, and tax services to our nonprofit clients. Prior to joining us, Carrie worked at a local Portland CPA firm for five years and has experience as the Director of Finance for two local not-for-profit organizations. Carrie received her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting  from Portland State University.

Carrie is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). 

Prior to her accounting career, Carrie received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Comparative Literature and Film Studies from University of Washington, and volunteers as Board Treasurer for the Portland-based International Youth Silent Film Festival. In her free time, Carrie enjoys watching movies, sewing, and spending time with her two children, husband, and animals.
